I am Luc Hourriez, I was 35 last February and the fulfilled dad of a little 8-year old girl who gives me so much happiness each day.
Bilingual French/English thanks to my British origins (thank you mum), I love to exchange with couples in love and future wedding couples all over the world. It is a way for French and couples at the other end of the world to discover my love for Paris.
I started my career with the Paris Fire Brigade (I am still a voluntary fireman) and during that period I was able to share the daily life of courageous men and experience the difficulties of the profession. I then had the opportunity to continue my professional experience and changed course to become a Cast Member at Disneyland Resort Paris before finally fulfilling my dream to become a wedding photographer.
The real trigger for my passion for photography happened when I first handled a professional camera. From then onwards I have never stopped being trained by the best French, European and worldwide photographers such as F. Lecrenay, M. Bell, J. Ascough, S. Bryce, M. Magne and B. Shirk, amongst others.
But to be honest, my true discovery of the profession actually began when I was a child and took my first photo. Immortalising my parents at a wedding of close friends, I could thus only turn towards wedding photography.
Wedding photographer, a profession which was destined for me.
“The camera is a tool. A tool doesn’t think. Behind the tool is my eye, my brain. Each brain is unique. The moment it triggered, it made a choice. The photographic act is a mental thing. There is no objectivity.”
